Blank Park Zoo- Des Moines, IOWA

 

Blank Park Zoo is a 49-acre zoological park on the south side of Des Moines, Iowa, United States. It is the only certified zoo in Iowa and a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). A portion from the admissions goes in protecting animal populations around the world.

 

The grounds were nice and clean. You may do lot of activities like train ride to tour and see different animals. The grounds were nice and clean. The zoo was beautiful and had a variety of animals from different regions all over the world. It was well kept and organized.

The Blank Park Zoo may not be the largest zoo, but it's great for a few hours with the kids. The zoo may not be that big but there are many new animals to see there. Families may enjoy giraffes, lions, and rhinos and a lot more. There is plenty to keep the youngsters entertained, including a carousel, train rides, face painting, giraffe feeding, camel rides, etc.

*Alpaca Acres is open 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Guests must purchase entrance to Alpaca Acres to purchase a feed cup. This experience is in 30 minute increments. Children under the age of 12 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult. Experience closes September 4, 2023.
